The AVU will also assist universities and AVU sites in building faculty capacity in ICT-enhanced learning. Under an AVU/AusAID partnership known as the Virtual Colombo Plan, AVU partner universities’ faculty will be trained in instructional design for online teaching/learning. Scholarships for master’s degrees, diplomas and certificates in instructional design will be provided to a cohort of 62 academics to specialise in ICT-enhanced learning.
